GRANDMA'S MEATBALLS

20 MINUTE COOK TIME

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp. basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

Meatball Ingredients:

  • 1.8 kg beef mince
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Parmigiano cheese
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meatballs:

    • Add all the meatball ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
    • Roll the mixture into meatballs of the desired size and place them on a baking sheet.
    • Place in the oven to sear at 450°F (230°C) for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sauce in the Pressure Cooker:

    • Place the inner pot in the Power Pressure Cooker XL.
    • Press the SAUTÉ button.
    • Sauté the onions and garlic in olive oil.
    • Add the crushed tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients.
    • Let cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Cook the Meatballs:

    • Add the seared meatballs to the sauce.
    • Place the lid on the Power Pressure Cooker XL, lock the lid, and switch the pressure release valve to Closed.
    • Press the CANCEL button.
    • Press the SOUP/STEW button and then press the TIME ADJUSTMENT button until you reach 20 minutes.
  4. Final Steps:

    • Once the timer reaches 0, the cooker will automatically switch to KEEP WARM.
    • Switch the pressure release valve to Open.
    • When the steam is completely released, remove the lid.
  5. Serve & Enjoy!
