Spicy Parmesan Wings

Spicy Parmesan Wings

This Spicy Parmesan Wings recipe is so easy to make and packs a real punch of flavour 🌶️

One of the tricks in this recipe is to add baking powder to the spice mix. Baking powder changes the skin on the chicken wings and allows it to get crispier. Once the wings are cooked to crispy perfection, they get tossed in a glorious, homemade garlic butter sauce with grated parmesan 🧀

Ingredients:

Makes +/- 10 wings
1.2kg Country Range Chicken Wings, defrosted and drained
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Spiceman’s Peri-Peri Spice
1 tsp Spiceman’s Lemon and Herb Spice
1 tsp Paprika
Spicy Parmesan Sauce
50g Food Land Butter
½ tsp crushed Garlic
1 tsp Honey
¼ tsp dried Mixed Herbs
Fried Chili Flakes to your taste
¼ cup grated Parmesan Cheese

For the Wings:

1. Pat dry clean wings using a paper towel, removing as much moisture as possible which helps to have a crispy wing skin.
2. Sprinkle all the wing seasonings as well as the baking powder on the wings and toss to coat well.
3. Place wings on a flat and single layer in the @milex.sa air fryer.
4. Cook the wings on the "Chicken" 🍗 setting at 200°C in the air fryer for 15-18 minutes, flipping them at the halfway mark.

For the Sauce:

1. Add the butter, garlic, mixed herbs and paprika into a small bowl and place in the microwave for 30 seconds to melt the butter. Then drizzle in the honey and chilli flakes and mix well.
2. Toss the wings in the sauce, sprinkle on the parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
